We have provided access to our member database via content and widgets for web developers, web designers, webmasters and bloggers to use on their websites or in mashup applications.
A list of our members is available as a feed in RSS 2.0 format. The feed displays each members' username, personal description, thumbnail image, first part of their postcode and a profile link.
The full feed URL is:
http://www.myneighbourhoods.co.uk/feeds/
The feed can be filtered further by city and postcode (first part of) using additional parameters. For example, to display all our members in london, use city=london:
http://www.myneighbourhoods.co.uk/feeds/?city=london
To display all our members in the postal area N8 use, postcode=n8:
http://www.myneighbourhoods.co.uk/feeds/?postcode=n8
Add a list of our members directly to your website. It's simple and free. You can filter by city and postcode (first part of) so the list can include people in your city or your neighbours.
To add the list to your site simply copy and paste the following code where you'd like the list to appear. The example below includes all our London members.
Change the 'width' and 'height' attributes to fit the content and design of your site. The list will expand to fit the width you specify.
Once again, the feed can be filtered by city (as in the above example) or the first part of a postcode using additional parameters on the end of the src URL (Postcode=n8). To list your neighbours in the N8 area use:
To list all members, remove all parameters. For example:
The list is automatically updated with new members.
Below are images for your website or blog that you can use to link to My Neighbourhoods. We'll be adding more to these so keep checking back. You can save the image on to your server or copy the code beneath each image.
